1:00-2:30 pm— TUNE UP YOUR BUENOS AIRES DANCING BODY – reawaken your posture and improve your embrace, connection and rhythm. This class is designed to get your body ready for a weekend immersion in social tango dancing.
3:00-4:30 pm— FANCY WALKING STEPS – Use minor variations and refinements to turn a few steps into knowing how to make many steps to your repertoire. Women: discover how to maintain your balance in order to free your feet for ornamentations.
4:45-6:00 pm— SHIFTING GEARS DANCING MILONGA – Use the transition from caminada to traspie and vice versa (from slow to fast and back again) to dance a more playful and musical milonga.
SATURDAY EVENING EVENT:

1:00-2:30 pm— KEYS TO A CHARMING DANCE – Learn how to develop your dance building it from the simple basics to more complex figures.
3:00-4:30 pm— VALS COMBO DEAL – Explore turns and counter-turns, and add a bonus boleo.
4:45-6:00 pm— POPULAR BUENOS AIRES FIGURES – Just as “brown is the new black” and today’s retro is not the 1960s but the 1980s, Susana will share the current trends for social dancing on a crowed floor.
SUNDAY EVENING EVENT:
“Sunday Open Practica” – Join us at EL CENTRO for a POTLUCK at 6:30 p.m., the practica starts at 7:30 p.m. (422 Richards Street, 2nd floor). $8.
PRICES:
$125 weekend package (include 6 classes, EL CENTRO Milonga and the Sunday Practica) or $25/class. 30% discount with a valid student card.
Every SUNDAY, 7:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at El Centro, 422 Richards Street, 2nd Floor (at W. Hastings St., Downtown). Yerba mate and snacks always served. $8 drop-in, $50 for 10 visits (no expiry, non-transferable), $5 students.
Lessons tango with Francis and Emiko
WEDNESDAYS (new session begins September 16). We're teaching absolute beginners and dancers of all levels who wish to refine their fundamental skills, at 8:15 pm to 9:45 pm. $18 drop-in/ $ for 6-wk session. No partner required.
