Summer Tango Intensive

Direct from Buenos Aires, we are pleased to welcome ANDREA UCHITEL, in Vancouver to teach a two-week tango intensive, July 29 to August 12, 2006.

Remarkably accomplished and experienced for such a young instructor, Andrea learned to dance tango at "La Academia" of Susana Miller and taught at her tango school for four years, together with Ana Maria Schapira and Maria Plazaola. She later worked with Carlos Gavito and is currently expanding her knowledge at ACETA (www.aceta.com.ar), a tango school renowned for preserving and transmitting the milonguero style to a new generation.

Andrea believes that with a good connection everything else comes easier. She brings innovation and a fresh perspective to the milonguero style. Classes will be on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 to 9:30 p.m., and there will be plenty of opportunity to meet Andrea at Vancouver’s regular milongas.
